Samantha Reeves is the new #Home Manager of #Kilkee Lodge Residential Home. She has been working in the care sector for a while and has tons of experience and comes highly recommended. It appears that she is proving herself extremely useful working at #Kilkee Lodge giving it a new direction.
Since the beginning of this decade the #Care Sector has had to go through a very difficult change. The councils starved of funding have neglected bringing their fees up to a decent level and have also in order to save money in spite of its failings, preferred #Care at Home. #Kilkee Lodge has to dig deep to become a Home which shines no matter what the circumstances and needed someone with open mind, hard but still understanding, caring, knowledgeable and someone who is not shy to change and adapt new ways to give the residents the best possible care with their interest in mind.
"Sam" as she likes to be called thinks that training is the key to providing the best care as the staff would respond correctly if they understand the illness and its symptoms. They can communicate and describe correctly and also learn to work as a team. She has within her months of employment pushed staff to complete the required trainings and also urged them to take initiative and learn more to further themselves.
She also believes in Team play and considers herself as a good Team Leader. She has also a firm believer in fair play and leads by examples. According to her "she has good empathic skills and always gives a listening ear, moreover she values people and their abilities". She advices staff to consolidate their strong points and work on their weakness.
We welcome her at #Kilkee Lodge and wish her the best in leading an already established and dedicated team and hope that she would be leading the Home to new heights.
